Although the ability of having others being able to track your route is cool, I don't think it's worth the subscription price. I'd much prefer (and use) a PLB which has no ongoing cost and is backed up by the entire US Search and Rescue system. But either one is better than nothing if the crap hits the fan in the backcountry.

Old Post- but I hope correct for my question.
Using the Spot feature 'I'm broke down- but okay' sends a designated email. Is there a number the friend or spouse can notify with GPS coordinates for a local response?
Figured to ask here before checking a Sheriff's office or the NPS.
